Montaner against the new date for the political orientation debate
According to statements of Carine Montanerwho has spoken about the prosecutor’s attempts to change the date has expressed his refusal to this change, arguing that it should have been changed days after the set date and, especially, taking into account the coincidence with the political orientation debate i parliamentary trips.
“The prosecutor wanted to advance the date of my trial to June 10 and 11… I said no to my lawyer! That if I wanted to change the date it had to be afterwards and not before the date set… having bearing in mind that the new proposed date would also be in the week of the political orientation debate and the parliamentary trips”, said the minister.
It must be remembered that Ferran Costa withdrew the lawsuit against the president from the parliamentary group ofAndorra Go aheadbut it has been the Prosecutor’s Office who has decided to push the complaint against Highlander. “The Mediation of the General Ombudsman has pushed me to take the decision to withdraw the charges and the civil claim since I have no intention of receiving anything from Ms. Mountaineer” said the former Liberal councillor.
