The executive clarifies that the ECtHR has not accepted the lawsuit that wanted to contest the general elections

Andorra la VellaThe European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has not admitted to the procedure the demand related to the vote by judicial deposit in the last general elections that questions the validity of the elections. This has been confirmed by Guillem Casal, spokesman for the executive, after information to the contrary was published in the last few hours. The lawsuit was promoted by lawyer Emili Campos. Casal explained that when the court admits to the procedure, it notifies both parties and whoever represents Andorra before the court, that is, Pere Pastor Vilanova, has not received any kind of notification. In addition, the ECtHR does not communicate anything until it is decided that the claim is admissible. According to the minister, what the plaintiff has been able to receive is a kind of proof of receipt and not an admission to the procedure.
