Andorra la VellaThe judiciary believes that there are indications of a major crime of unfair administration of public assets in the case of the payments of disability pensions from the Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS). CASS itself decided to present the case to the prosecutor’s office on March 5, according to reports RTVA. The judicialization of the case implies that the commission of inquiry is suspended, as established by the regulations of the General Council. The suspension will become official this afternoon after the session of the General Council and will be extended for three months, while the preliminary proceedings take place. It has been learned that overpayments in disability pensions of more than a million euros were caused in the last three years and of around six million since the early 1970s.
