A LUXURY car maker has revealed a futuristic electric boat worth £2million that can recharge in just one hour and cruise at 40 knots.
Italian manufacturer Maserati has pulled out all the stops to take it’s electric capacities from land to sea with its latest eye-catching offering.

Teaming up with UK-based marine technology firm Vita, the company have created an all-electric powerboat.
Known as the Tridente, the vessel measures 34 feet in length and boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots (28mph), while it can also reach top speeds of 40 knots (46mph).
However, it is primarily designed for navigation in calm inland waters or at sea near the coast.
To ensure minimal downtime between adventures, the boat has an ideal recharge time of less than one hour.
The Tridente is also designed to accommodate up to eight passengers and has been tailored for lake and coastal day cruising enthusiasts.
The powerboat even features a versatile cockpit that can be arranged for either dining or experiencing the thrill of acceleration.
Passengers can also luxuriate on the sundeck, complete with a bathing area equipped with a shower and ladder for refreshing swims.
Additionally, an enclosed cabin forward offers a day berth and WC for added comfort during extended outings.
Crafted from lightweight carbon fibre and meticulously finished by Hodgdon Yachts, a distinguished superyacht tender builder, the Tridente aims to match Maserati’s reputation for elegant design and performance.
Equipped with two electric motors generating a combined 600 horsepower and a 252 kWh battery pack, the Tridente promises an exhilarating ride while also minimising its environmental footprint.
With zero emissions, noise, and fumes, it represents a sustainable evolution in luxury watercraft.
Drawing inspiration from Maserati’s iconic design language, the powerboat boasts sleek lines, a striking rose-gold finish, and the brand’s emblematic trident logo adorning the bow.
Inside, the cream-coloured cockpit offers seating for eight passengers, complemented by a spacious sun pad aft and a helm station featuring a large touchscreen display.
Below deck, passengers will find a comfortable cabin with an en suite, providing a serene retreat after a day of adventure on the water.
It is not yet clear when the Maserati Trident will go into production but the bidding process has already begun.
However, with a $2.6million (£2.09million) starting price, according to Luxury Launches, it is only expected to be enjoyed by a select few.
The new powerboat was unveiled alongside Maserati’s first electric convertible, the GranCabrio Folgore.
After the GranTurismo Folgore, the brand’s first fully electrified model, and the Grecale Folgore, their first electric SUV in the Trident’s history, the new open-top Maserati completes the Modena-based company’s current full-electric offering.
The GranCabrio Folgore is considered to be the EV version of a supercar owned by David Beckham.
The powerful motor could even be seen on British roads as early as next year.

Earlier this year, however, Maserati halted the development of one of its flagship electric vehicles over performance concerns.
The long-awaited Quattroporte Folgore battery-powered large saloon car was at the heart of the issues as the luxury car brand looked to make some crucial cost-cutting methods.
