In a dramatic escalation of their ongoing feud, boxing sensation Gervonta Davis issued a stark warning to his former mentor, Floyd Mayweather, threatening to knock him out and expressing indifference towards potential repercussions, including returning to jail.

Davis’s incendiary remarks unfolded on social media, where he boldly declared, “Now I f*** around and knock Floyd out when I see em and I’ll care about going back to jail,” referencing his past legal troubles, including a 90-day jail sentence stemming from a hit-and-run incident in November 2020. Mayweather Also Taunted Davis By Requesting He Fights Shakur Stevenson

Floyd Mayweather took to Instagram to mock his former protege, Gervonta Davis, by sharing a video of Davis dancing and captioning it with, “We always knew he had sugar in his tank.”

Additionally, Mayweather stirred the pot further by advocating for a matchup between Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

The rift between Davis and Mayweather has deepened over the years, despite their previous association under Mayweather Promotions. Davis, known as ‘Tank,’ parted ways with the promotional company in late 2022, opting to chart his own course under the guidance of advisor Al Haymon. While their split initially appeared amicable, tensions resurfaced, with Davis accusing Mayweather of obstructing his training access at the Mayweather gym ahead of his bout with Ryan Garcia in April 2023.

Although there seemed to be a reconciliation when Mayweather was seen cheering Davis on during his victory over Garcia, relations between the two have since soured once again. Mayweather’s recent remarks on social media, seemingly directed at Davis and other fighters, drew a sharp response from the young boxer, who accused Mayweather of financial mismanagement and labeled him a “hater.”
