In a recent social media announcement, Ryan Garcia, the rising star in boxing circles, disclosed that he amassed a staggering $50 million from his highly anticipated bout against Devin Haney. Garcia earned the biggest win of his career by defeating the former undisputed lightweight king and current super lightweight champion in Haney.

The eye-popping figure reportedly includes a $2 million bet Ryan placed on the fight, which he claims yielded an additional $12 million in earnings. Devin Haney Denies $35 Million Pay Day

The WBC Super Lightweight Champions Says ‘Think Bigger’

Despite Haney’s defeat in the match held last Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, reports claimed that he earned a substantial $35 million.

However, Haney denies the reports and says that his earnings exceed that amount. On his Instagram Story, Haney shared a photo of the earnings report and wrote, “”If you thought I made 35.. think again. Think bigger b*tch”

While he didn’t reveal his earnings, Haney’s sizable payday marks a significant milestone in his career, likely surpassing any previous earnings from his past fights. Despite the loss, Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) is already clamoring for a rematch with Garcia. However, securing a similar payday may prove challenging for Haney, especially if he opts to defend his WBC light welterweight title against mandatory challenger Sandor Martin in his next bout.

However, Haney has several options at his weight class for big paydays albeit smaller than his purse for the Garcia fight. A unification bout with Teofimo Lopez or Subriel Matias will do big numbers.

In addition, Haney can seek redemption from his first loss by attempting to become undisputed in his second weight class while a world title still evades Ryan Garcia, who is campaigning to fight Gervonta Davis in a rematch or Errol Spence. Garcia has also called out Jarron Ennis and UFC champion Sean O’Malley. Therefore, the boxing star is far from being set on his next opponent.
