Fans tend to boo and hate heels in WWE because, after all, that is exactly the point. Heels will commit heinous acts and have unbearable attitudes to earn the hatred of the fans. In fact, some heels generate genuine heat and are truly hated.

But that’s not all, as some babyfaces are also legitimately hated because of their real-life attitude, or perhaps because they are not good enough in the ring or on the microphone, or because they just don’t have the charisma to endear themselves to the fans.

WWE is unquestionably one of the most recognizable brands worldwide. It’s arguably the biggest professional wrestling company in North America. Nevertheless, WWE’s roster is stacked with a plethora of talented wrestlers competing on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Hate is a strong word, but there are some wrestlers that wrestling fans cannot get behind for several reasons. Traditionally, heels were hated, and babyfaces were adored, but that isn’t always the case. Wrestling fans are the biggest judges when it comes to a wrestler’s personality and their character. Some of the most disliked wrestlers on WWE’s current roster have done things that have annoyed the WWE Universe.

Drew McIntyre Is Continuing To Torment CM Punk

Drew McIntyre is doing some of the best work of his WWE career. The Scottish Psychopath finally turned heel and has mocked CM Punk’s injury. McIntyre finally got his WrestleMania moment as he defeated Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the curtain-raiser of WrestleMania 40 Sunday.

McIntyre’s joy was short-lived as he was the victim of Damian Priest’s Money in the Bank cash-in all thanks to CM Punk’s interference. Nevertheless, McIntyre is an outstanding heel and some of the WWE Universe dislikes him for mocking Punk and making fun of other babyfaces.

Chad Gable Has Had A Change Of Heart

Chad Gable was knocking on the door in 2023, and he proved how good he is inside the squared circle with some outstanding battles with Gunther over the Intercontinental Championship. Gable could not derail Gunther’s record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign, and he has been in contention to win the title.

On the April 15, 2024 edition of Raw, Gable turned heel after he lost his Intercontinental Championship match to Sami Zayn, and assaulted him afterward. Gable’s obsessed with winning the Intercontinental Championship, and he has strongly informed his Alpha Academy faction that helping Gable capture the title will be their main focus.

Logan Paul is one of the most detestable wrestlers in WWE history, and he is easy to dislike because of his persona which makes fans dislike him. Paul is cocky and he is confident. However, there is one thing that fans cannot take away from him is that he’s an exceptional in-ring performer.

Paul finally got his hands on silverware when he defeated Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship at Crown Jewel 2023. Paul has a podcast on YouTube and he has appeared in some boxing fights so he has a big profile outside of the professional wrestling world.

Unquestionably, Santos Escobar is a fantastic in-ring performer, but he has yet to win a championship on the main roster. Escobar is at his best when he is a heel, and he departed Rey Mysterio’s LWO as he cost him the WWE United States Championship, and he turned on Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Zelina Vega.

Escobar’s new ways are not loved by the fans, but Escobar has gone back to his old “Soul March” theme song, and he has revamped Legado Del Fantasma. Angel and Humberto have joined his faction and Elektra Lopez has once again rejoined the group who are looking to dominate SmackDown.

The WWE Universe loves Jey Uso, and seeing Jimmy betray Jey they are not pleased with Jimmy. Jimmy appeared on the September 1, 2023 edition of SmackDown, and he had an interaction with John Cena who laid him out with an AA. Jimmy is now on a singles run as a heel and it’ll be interesting to see how he’ll do without his twin brother by his side.

Deville won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Chelsea Green, and that was Deville’s first championship in her WWE career. Deville is very good on the mic, and she does a superb job of getting the crowd to hate her.

Dominik Mysterio beat Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship, and he is thriving in the Judgment Day alongside Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor. Dominik doesn’t keep his nose out of Rhea Ripley’s business, and he repeatedly interferes in her matches which makes him hated.

In the past few years though, the Tribal Chief has been more hated than ever, because after the matches against Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes, fans got legitimately upset, and they just want Roman to lose once and for all.

Jax receives a lot of hate from the WWE Universe as she has injured some of her co-workers legitimately. She targeted Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship at Elimination Chamber 2024 and she came up short in an excellent main event. Furthermore, fans enjoy seeing Jax’s shortcomings, and for the first time in her WWE career, Jax is a member of SmackDown as a result of the draft.
