A Mad Max Saga’ premiere in spear-covered couture

Another day, another jaw-dropping, spot-on premiere outfit.

This time, it’s Anya Taylor-Joy who is shaking up the red carpet, arriving at the Sydney, Australia premiere of her forthcoming movie, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” wearing an elaborate, gold chain-linked dress decorated with large spears.

As she posed for the cameras, the actress, 28, showed off the unique, slightly see-through design along with its matching headpiece, with the pieces jutting out at least one foot from her body.

The look first appeared in Paco Rabanne’s 1996 spring haute couture collection, but was clearly perfect for the movie’s post-apocalyptic storyline, in which the War Boys characters use thundersticks — explosive spears similar to the embellishments on Taylor-Joy’s look — to bomb their enemies.

However, while the arrow-embellished spikes no doubt nailed the method dressing trend, it did make standing next to others a bit more difficult; Taylor-Joy had to keep co-star Chris Hemsworth at arm’s length while the two took photos together.

For his part, Hemsworth wore a more traditional outfit, opting for a grey plaid suit and a black button-up shirt.

Still, Taylor-Joy is no stranger to committing to the bit.

Just like Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, “The Queens Gambit” star previously promoted her role in “Dune: Part Two” with futuristic ensembles, including a golden dress with a sheer black overlay.

That look, however, sparked controversy after Taylor-Joy gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her Maison Margiela corset, posting a photo of her tiny waist that critics felt promoted starvation.

With the Furiosa-focused “Mad Max” prequel set to hit theaters on May 24, there’s plenty of time for the blond bombshell to wow in more dystopian couture.
