YouTube lets you skip to the most interesting part of the video thanks to this AI feature

Youtube, Google-owned video streaming platform with almost 40 million users in Spaincis increasingly linked to the artificial intelligence with the aim of improving the operation of the platform and thus making life easier for users and content creators.

Since March they had begun testing the function called ‘Jump Forward’. This consists of allows you to skip ahead to the most important parts of the videos. Now Google has expanded these functions to reach users to improve the video viewing experience.

How does Jump Forward, YouTube’s new feature with artificial intelligence, work?

By default, YouTube lets you fast forward 10 seconds in a video and the more times you tap to fast forward, It will add you 10 by 10, but with this function, the artificial intelligence identifies the parts of the video that have the most views and takes you to them. In this way what they intend is Save you time and focus on what’s important.

Logically, even if there are parts that have more views than others, users may not agree with them if they want to see the video and you don’t find the function at all good or useful. It already brings controversy because users understand that it is the way it has YouTube to do what the platform wants you to see.

Searching with emojis on YouTube shows explicit content.

According to what they say from the 9to5Google, All you have to do is press twice on the lower right side of the screen and then do it on the button ‘Jump Ahead’ or ‘Jump forward’. This button appears for a few seconds in that location before disappearing. This way the video will automatically advance to the most viewed part.

At the moment, this new AI feature is only available for the app. YouTube Premium for Android in the United States with videos in English and is not available in all videos. It seems that it is only in those who have many visits. That is, you must be a YouTube Premium member to be able to experience it until June 1. It remains to be seen whether it will spread further.
