WWE has a habit of bringing back veterans to take the spotlight over younger wrestlers, which sometimes rubs fans the wrong way. WWE is the land of opportunities for younger talent to succeed. Not every young wrestler manages to cope with the weight of expectation when they compete on Raw or SmackDown compared to when they are in NXT. Nevertheless, WWE has many talented young wrestlers who are competing weekly on television and their fan bases grow with the exposure they get by competing on the red and blue brand. The youngest male wrestlers who are currently in WWE have got their hands on championships at a young age, and have scored some victories over veterans. Inevitably, younger talent mature with age but some reach their peak in the early years of their careers.

Odyssey Jones has been under contract in WWE since 2019, but he didn’t have his first televised match in NXT until July 2021. However, Jones ruptured his patella in January 2022 and he underwent surgery. He returned to NXT in the fall and was drafted to Raw in the 2023 draft lottery.
Jones’s current whereabouts are unknown, and his absence is conspicuous. With WWE currently cutting some wrestlers off the wage bill, and Jones is still young at 29, he could be released since he has yet to debut on the red brand.

It’s hard to believe that Rezar is still only 29 considering he was one of the youngest NXT Tag Team Champions at 22 when he won the title with Akam in January 2017. Rezar and Akam as the Authors of Pain captured the Raw Tag Team Championship in November 2018 when they saw off Seth Rollins in a handicap match as Dean Ambrose turned on Rollins, a couple of weeks prior.
Rezar was a member of Rollins’ heel faction as one of his disciples, but the injury bug has hampered Rezar’s career several times. He was released in 2020 but rejoined WWE in 2022, but on TV in 2023. Rezar is a former MMA fighter, and the muscle of the Final Testament will be hoping to add some more gold to his collection.

2024 has started brightly for Bron Breakker. Breakker entered the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match and eliminated four competitors in a strong five-minute cameo.
