FOOTAGE of Republic of Ireland legend Roy Keane has resurfaced from Man Utd’s treble win in 1999.

The former Utd skipper is recorded alongside Red Devils’ team-mates after they won the Champions League at the Camp Nou in 1999.

But iconic Red Devil Keane missed out on the showpiece event at the Camp Nou against Bayern Munich that won Utd the treble – due to suspension – but the skipper was on hand to celebrate with the team.

Keane received a booking during a iconic individual performance in the semi-final against Juventus after a wayward tackle on Zinedine Zidane at the Stadio Delle Alpi, which meant he was ruled out of the final against Bayern Munich.

Alex Ferguson’s side eventually won the treble after late drama in Champions League decider against Bayern Munich.

The 1999 UEFA Champions League Final is one of the most memorable in the history after a s stunning turn of events during United’s 2-1 win in Catalonia on May 26, 1999.

Bayern Munich took the lead early in the match, with Mario Basler scoring in the sixth minute.

In a legendary but dramatic turnaround, Manchester United scored two goals in injury time to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Teddy Sheringham scored the leveller in the 91st minute.

While with Ole Gunnar Solskjær netted the winner just moments later in the 93rd minute – both were late replacements in the clash.

And celebrations went on late into the night in Spain as Ferguson’s Utd became the first club in England to ever achieve the treble.
