CUSACK PARK in Ennis will host Clare’s Munster SFC final against Kerry on May 5.
The Banner won a coin toss for home advantage last night after reaching back-to-back provincial football deciders for the first time in 87 years with Sunday’s 2-20 to 1-9 semi-final win over Waterford.
Last year’s showpiece between the same counties, which Kerry won 5-14 to 0-15, was played at the Gaelic Grounds but that venue is unavailable this time due to the Great Limerick Run taking place.
Next month’s clash between 84-times winners Kerry and twice provincial kings Clare will be the first Munster football final played at Cusack Park since Kerry beat the Banner 6-11 to 2-0 in 1919.
