The highly anticipated showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title is facing uncertainty as Usyk’s promoter has named a potential replacement fighter in case Fury withdraws from the bout.

Usyk’s Manager Reveals He Had Four Training Camps For Fury
Krassyuk Isn’t Confident Fury Will Make It To The Ring
In an interview with GB News, Krassyuk revealed that Usyk has diligently prepared for the clash, having endured four separate training camps in anticipation of facing Fury. However, doubts linger as Fury has withdrawn from the fight on four previous occasions, according to Krassyuk.
Highlighting Fury’s history of backing out from scheduled fights, Krassyuk pointed out that the bout was initially slated for last April before being postponed multiple times. He expressed skepticism regarding Fury’s willingness to step into the ring, particularly if he suffers a defeat.
“Remember that we were looking to fight last April; he pulled out of it then, too. That’s why we fought Daniel Dubois. This will be the fourth camp we have had for Tyson Fury. I’ve not got too much confidence in the rematch happening, by the way. If Tyson Fury loses, will he have the confidence to step inside the ring again? Theoretically he can, but we all know what happened in the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.”
Should Fury withdraw again, Krassyuk disclosed that Filip Hrgovic would step in as a replacement opponent for Usyk. Despite Hrgovic’s prior commitment to face Daniel Dubois on June 1, he would be drafted in for the undisputed showdown to uphold Usyk’s IBF mandatory status.
Anthony Joshua’s Next Opponent Revealed – Not Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk
Anthony Joshua is set to return sooner than expected and it won’t be against Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk who fight for the undisputed titles.
Krassyuk emphasized the significance of the undisputed title, stating that losing the IBF title due to Fury’s withdrawal is not an option for Team Usyk. He highlighted the importance of legacy and glory in the sport, contrasting it with Fury’s purported indifference towards the titles.
In light of the uncertainty surrounding Fury’s participation, the boxing world awaits further developments as the scheduled date for the undisputed clash draws near.
