Andorra la VellaTwo people were injured, one of them seriously, in a traffic accident that took place this Wednesday in the municipality of Bassella. Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
As reported by the General Directorate of Emergencies and collected by Radio Seu, the accident warning was received early in the morning (7:25 a.m.) from kilometer 135 of the C-14 road, south of Alt Urgell. For reasons that are now being investigated, there was a fronto-lateral collision, probably due to the invasion of the opposite lane by one of the two cars. Thus, one of the cars suffered material damage to the front; and the other, on the side.
A crew of the Generalitat Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. When they arrived at the scene, they found the two vehicles empty and occupying the road, but as they continued, they could see that the various occupants of both cars were at the edge. Two of them had suffered serious injuries and one of them had to be taken to Sant Hospital de la Seu d’Urgell by the EMS, which also attended to other people affected by the accident on site.
