Trump cuts ad off UNC frat brothers who defended American flag

Former President Trump released a new ad Friday for his presidential campaign that heralded the patriotic students battling back against the anti-Israel mob — and seemed to claim them under his own banner.

The ad was posted to Truth Social and consisted entirely of spliced news clippings showing chaos around the country.

The footage leaned hard into a collection of University of North Carolina Chapel Hill students who famously defended the American flag on their campus from protesters. A GoFundMe started to throw the bros “a rager” has generated more than $500,000 — which included a $10,000 assist from hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman.

“While campuses struggle to get control of their students, at UNC Chapel Hill, they are bringing order back,” the video begins.

The students “stood strong” despite being “pelted with bottles and rocks,” the ad continued.

“I think the most popular college students right now are the ones at UNC,” Matthew Foldi, a notable D.C. gadfly, said in the ad.

The footage also featured more controversial imagery like students at the University of Mississippi — one of whom was filmed mocking a black protester with what appeared to be monkey noises and gestures.
