Carolina Marin He will join the select list of athletes who have received the Princess of Asturias Sports Award, as the Foundation made official this Wednesday. The award recognizes his sporting career, with three world championships behind him and an Olympic gold.
These awards throughout history have recognized the career and work of the best athletes, institutions and sports figures to place their competitions in the global spotlight.
Likewise, to this award 24 candidates from 14 different nationalities were eligible. This is the third of the eight international awards presented annually by the Princess of Asturias Foundation.
