Things 2K Needs To Improve In WWE 2K25

The amount of improvements between WWE 2K23 and WWE 2K24 was substantial enough that it made the game feel and look a lot better. Review scores and even talk on social media are proof of that, but of course, the game is far from perfect. Players have been voicing their problems and concerns to 2K with every entry, but yet, many of those same problems remain while new ones arise.

2K has a page on their website where players can submit tickets for the many bugs that have been found in WWE 2K24, but keeping up with those has seemingly been an issue for 2K as many glitches from day one still have yet to be fixed. So as a push to get 2K to notice what players are saying, here are just a few things that they should fix before releasing another WWE video game.

The Amount Of “Nude” Characters Is Bothersome

• More Of An Issue With Players And Not So Much 2K.
• “Nude” Content Needs To Quit Being Added To The Game.
• The Feature Could Be Removed In The Future.

This is not so much a problem with 2K, but more of a problem with certain players. The community creations feature is easily one of the best included in the WWE series. It grants players new characters, arenas, championships, and more that might not have been featured in the game or simply never will.

Now, the seemingly endless number of pages to scroll through can be a risk, as some players have decided to post customized “nude” models of existing wrestlers. This is ridiculous and wouldn’t be surprising to hear that 2K have thought about removing the feature as this continues to be a problem. 2K could do a better job at filtering these posts and banning the users that do it.

Animation Issues Still Remain

Old Animations Need Fixed, Wrestlers Do Their Moves Wrong, Etc.

• Multiple Wrestlers Have Inaccurate Movesets.
• Smaller Wrestlers Running The Ropes Have A Much Shorter Window To Attack Afterward.
• Numerous Animations Look Poorly Animated.

This is a pretty broad umbrella for the many issues animations are having in WWE 2K24. One noticeable new one came with the way that smaller wrestlers like Rey Mysterio or Roxanne Perez run the ropes, they will hit the middle rope and bounce off, which causes a much smaller window to react with a grapple or strike compared to superstars that do hit the middle rope.

Also, many of the wrestlers in the game do not have accurate movesets. For example, Rhea Ripley doesn’t perform the Riptide the same way she does on screen as she has said herself she doesn’t like landing on his backside, but 2K continues to animate it that way. Names like WolfpacSets and iBudsMovesets have been wonders on the 2K Community Creations page for fixing these inaccurate movesets.

Make MyRise More Interesting And Fun

Unleashed (Women’s) Was Much Better Than Undisputed (Men’s)

• Create More Interesting And Video Game Like Stories For Both Modes.
• Make Wins And Losses Matter, Branch Off The Story.
• Maybe Bring Back Season Mode Instead.

Not going into spoilers for either mode, but most players can agree that the Unleashed storyline was a lot more intriguing and fun compared to Undisputed. With that being said, 2K can benefit from giving both storylines more attention and making them more out there and not just a typical professional wrestling storyline.

On another note, some players have said they don’t love that you are forced to win all the time and only lose during cutscenes. Make wins and losses matter and possibly branch off to new storylines or scenarios. Something like bringing back Season mode could do wonders as it would give players more variety and replay value.

Show Universe Mode Some Love

The Mode Has Become The Most Broken Feature In The Game

• Players Miss The Randomness That Titles Like WWE 12 And WWE 2K14 Had.

For many players, Universe mode is the reason they keep buying the games and play them long after they have completed other modes like MyRise and Showcase. Pretty much ever since 2K has taken control of the series, the mode has received very minor updates and never seems to be a focus for the team.

2K24’s attempt at it has been particularly the worst. Glitches have riddled the mode nonstop and made many players drop the mode for once. 2K needs to look at what fans are saying online because this mode has become a shell of its former self.

Online Servers Still Have Many Issues

It is commonplace for a video game to suffer a few issues here and there with online connectivity. 2K, on the other hand, seems to take that a step further, as they seemingly have been suffering from poor servers since WWE 2K23 and haven’t done a thing to fix it.

This causes players to not connect to a match online, get disconnected mid-match, and even get kicked out of the Community Creations while attempting to download something. These issues can also be found in other 2K titles like the NBA series, so it is a shocker that the team hasn’t fixed this yet.

MyFaction Economy Suffers From Inflation

Pay-Outs And Cost Of Packs Are Insane

• Cards And Packs Are Way Too Expensive.
• Money Earned From Matches Is Way Too Small.
• The Mode Is A Constant Grind Unless You Pay For Microtransactions.

Ever since its introduction in WWE 2K22, MyFaction has been the most hated mode in the 2K series, but it makes money, so it will continue to be added and focused on compared to other modes. This year has been a particular grind even for players who do enjoy MyFaction.

Everything in the store costs a ludicrous amount, while pay-outs from Faction Wars, Weekly Towers, and Live Events are the smallest they have been. Add that to the small chance players will even get a good card from a pack once they can afford it, this mode has become unplayable unless you are willing to pay real money. Even with that in mind, a single deluxe pack can typically cost around $10.

Slingshot Tech Ruins Showcase

It Takes The Player Out Of The Game

• Many Players Already Don’t Love Showcase Mode.
• Slingshot Tech Breaks Any Amount Of Immersion For Players.
• Matches Like The Firefly Fun House Match Are Barely Even Playable.

Showcase mode started as a fun idea when it was introduced in WWE 13 as the Attitude Era mode, but with each new addition, it seems to receive more hate and backlash than the year prior. More recent attempts have been poorly received due to the “slingshot tech” 2K has implemented that cuts to real-life footage of the match.

Some matches become completely unplayable and the mode itself becomes a slog with many players just skipping the cutscene, so they can unlock the many features locked behind the mode. One solution that has been mentioned online is being able to relieve these matches but change the outcome, something that WWE Legends Of WrestleMania did back in 2009.

Constant Crashes When Doing Anything

Again, this is something that can be an issue for any video game, but it seems that WWE 2K24 has it bad. The game tends to crash at least once or twice per play session for most players, with PC seeming to have the worst end of it. Players on Reddit or X (formerly known as Twitter) have noted that modes like MyRise and any part of the creation suite crash the most.

Recent patches for 2K24 seem to fix one thing and break two more, leaving the game in a constant state of repair.

More Creation Slots And Logo Space

The Limit Of 100 Creations Has Been In Place For Years

• Fans Are Hoping Once Last-Gen Is Not Supported The Limit Will Be Increased.

WWE 2K24 has introduced many new things for fans to create, such as referee attires and fan signs, and while these are amazing, the major problem is that these all still factor into the logo limit that has been in place for years. If a player wants to do everything possible in the game, the limit will make it nearly impossible to have multiple arenas, wrestlers, signs, attires, championships, etc.

The talk online seems to suggest players believe once the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are no longer supported, this limit will increase, but that is not a guarantee. This limit has caused problems for players for quite some time and new glitches in 2K24 cause it to be much more of a headache.

The Creation Suite In General

A Lot Of This Needs To Be Fixed

• Hair Coloring Has Been Glitched Since Day One.
• Eyes Will Pop Out Of A Characters Head.

WWE 2K24 came out with one of the most broken creation suites of all time. The amount of glitches that remain from when the game dropped and have yet to be patched is absolutely insane. Custom characters will have their eyes pop out of their heads, dying hair will mirror on the other side, the lighting causes colors to look completely different compared to in-game, and so many more.

Creators like @cawsmicangels on social media have been begging 2K to fix this with no luck. Taking a look at 2K’s website where players can submit bugs, many of these issues have been closed with no plans to fix them or just completely ignored.
