With social media and dirt sheets, rumors are constantly swirling about wrestling. It’s hard for secrets to be kept and surprises to be executed anymore, and that’s something Jericho has acknowledged, while giving his thoughts on the intelligence of fans to “Busted Open Radio.”

Of course, there are always going to be aspects of the business audiences aren’t aware of, purely because it’s impossible without being in that position, which is evidently something Jericho believes.
Chris Jericho Believes In Letting Stories Play Out
Jericho is currently in the middle of a storyline with HOOK, which has been met with mixed reviews to this point with some fans even calling for him to retire. A lot of Jericho’s storylines have been long in AEW, which is something that fans have often had thoughts on. While audiences can be critical in the middle of an angle, Jericho highlights that extra time can be crucial.
“That’s how you tell great stories,” Jericho continued. “Some of them are a month-long, some of them are six months long, some of them are a year long. That’s just how it goes in wrestling.”
The phrase of ‘let it play out’ is common in the wrestling industry. That’s because fans don’t always know the long-term plan or the end game for what an angle might be which can create frustration for wrestlers if people complain about things in the middle of them.
How long his current angle will last remains to be seen, and whether or not he’s able to turn the fans back around will be interesting to watch. But for now, Jericho is likely going to push people to showcase patience.
