The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóohas accused the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) of having blended in with the independentistsjust one week away from the important ones catalan elections of 12-M.
“Already there are no differences between the independence movement and the current PSC. The Socialist Party has erased itself from being a State party. Only the Popular Party is the State party,” Feijóo said at a rally this Sunday in Salou (Tarragona).
The opposition leader has said that for Pedro Sánchez, with the sole purpose of perpetuating himself in the Moncloa, Catalonia is “a bargaining chip of the Socialist Party.”
“I give you the Generalitat and you let me govern in Spain with the votes of separatism,” said Feijóo, regarding how Sánchez’s agreements with secessionism work.
Feijóo has accused the PSC of governing in Catalonia “with more pro-independence parties than the independence parties among themselves”, and has warned the voters that voting for the socialists is voting for the independence movement.
“It seems that Catalonia is forced to choose between the egocentrism of Puigdemont or the egocentrism of Sánchez, and I say no“, declared the Galician politician in Salou.
Feijóo has also denied the accusations of the Ciudadanos leader, Carlos Carrizosa, who pointed out that the PP would have no problems reaching an agreement with JxCat to one day reach Moncloa. “We are not going to sell Catalonia for nothing,” the leader of the popular people said.
Feijóo asked himself “if the minority in Spain, in the autonomous communities, votes for the PSOE, why does the PSC have to be the first party in Catalonia?”, and recalled that the PSC “governs in the majority of municipalities” Catalans with the help of “Junts or ERC, with the independentistas”.
The head of the opposition has warned that even if the PSC won the elections, “Whoever decides will be Puigdemont, because Puigdemont is the one who decides if Sánchez is going to continue being president of the Government. “They have given them the amnesty and now they will give them the votes,” he added.
For this reason, he said that the PP is now “more necessary than ever for Catalonia”, because it represents the alternative to “Puigdemont’s egocentrism and Sánchez’s egocentrism”.
He has also sent a message to Ciudadanos voters: “To all those who worked for a brother party like Cs, welcome to your home. We are going to take the path together, because together “we arrive better”has said.
