The Undertaker Received A Late Night Voicemail
The Sunday night of WWE WrestleMania 40 was the biggest night of Rhodes’ career to date as he dethroned Roman Reigns by pinning him clean in the ring. He did it with a little help from his friends as Jey Uso, John Cena, and Undertaker himself all made cameo appearances during the match to take out various members of The Bloodline.

While Undertaker has admitted that appearance gave him so personal closure, the moment was all about Rhodes. The American Nightmare celebrated after the match in the middle of the ring with many of WWE’s top babyfaces as he called out Triple H and Bruce Prichard.
But it appears the celebrations didn’t end there, as The Deadman revealed on his “Six Feet Under” podcast that he received a late night call from the new champion.
“He sent me a voicemail the night he won the title. It was 3:49 AM, I think. I made out about half of it. I believe he was having a good time that night. Well deserved. He has come full circle. I didn’t see him developing into being the sports entertainer that he is. Another example of motivation and not being content with where you’re at and learning.” (H/T

The Undertaker Reviews Cody Rhodes’ Changes
Rhodes was around in WWE during Undertaker’s time with the company as he was starting to transition into a part-time talent. It allowed the Phenom to see what Rhodes was all about as a performer.
Throughout Undertaker’s tenure, he’s been able to see a lot of wrestlers leave WWE for a variety of reasons, and it appears the WWE Hall Of Famer has been impressed with how Rhodes has changed.
A lot of guys come into WWE before they are ready and end up leaving, and leaving unhappy. I don’t know for certain, but I’m pretty sure he left the same way. Man, did he figure things out on both sides. From the marketing aspect, and business aspect, to connecting with its audience. He’s not the same person as when he left. Not even close.”
Of course, Rhodes was extremely successful post-WWE as he went on to work around the world and played a key role in the inception of AEW. But now he’s focused on creating a memorable World title run in WWE, with his first title defense set to take place at WWE Backlash against AJ Styles.
