The Senate asks the Government to dismiss the attorney general for “non-compliance” with his duties

He Senate approved this Wednesday a motion in which urges the Government to dismiss the State Attorney General, Alvaro Garcia Ortiz, for “non-compliance” with his duties. The PP has asserted its absolute majority in the Upper House to move forward with the initiative and ask the Executive to appoint a new candidate. The motion has been approved with 144 votes in favor of the PP, compared to 97 against and 19 abstentions.
