The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Madrid has appealed in direct appeal the order to open proceedings against the wife of Pedro Sanchez. On April 16, The Court of Instruction number 41 of Madrid opened an investigation against Begoña Gómez as a result of a complaint from the Clean Hands organization supported by journalistic information about its labor relations with companies subsidized or rescued by the Government.
The same day that Manos Limpas has assumed in a statement that some of this information may be false, with the continuity of Pedro Sánchez in the Government subject to a four-day “reflection”the Public Ministry requests “the revocation of the appealed order and the filing of the case”. As it is a direct appeal, it goes to the Provincial Court of Madrid without going through the investigating judge Juan Carlos Peinado, who opened the case barely a week after Manos Liminas filed the complaint.
