This is confirmed by the census of Spanish Population Resident Abroad (PERE) which is updated year after year by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). However, statistics also indicate that There are only three countries on the entire planet in which no Spanish citizen resides.

In absolute terms, the greatest growth in the Spanish population during 2023 was recorded in Mexico (15,918 more), the United States (13,512) and France (12,930).
