NBM and MCA, two personal friends of Edwin Arrieta in his hometown of Lorica, made it clear his fear that something bad had happened to him to the Colombian surgeon on August 2, the same day of his alleged murder in Thailand at the hands of Daniel Sancho.
They expressed it through a series of WhatsApp messages sent to a direct relative of Edwin Arrietato which you have had access 20 minutes and that this Wednesday they will be presented as evidence before the Koh Samui court that is trying the Spanish chef.
In the first conversation, NBM makes express reference to Sancho and the surgeon’s relative assures that he does not know who that person is. However, it does seem that both have seen photographs of him before because NBM talks about them:
NBM: -Edwin doesn’t answer his cell phone, do you know anything about him? He told me yesterday that he was going to Thailand with the Spaniard to whom he had lent the money.
FAMILIAR: -He just wrote to me. What Spanish is it? I don’t know any. Do you have his contact?
NBM: -I don’t know who he is, only that Edwin told me about him. He told me that he was the guy from the restaurant, the one from the trips to Madrid.
FAMILIAR: -What’s it called?
NBM: -I don’t know. He is the young boy, the one with the long hair in the photos.
The conversation continues and NBM reveals that Edwin lent Sancho 900 million Colombian pesos, about 216,000 euros at the current exchange rate, information that the family member did not know and for which he shows surprise and concern. However, the most revealing thing about that conversation is that NBM says that Edwin and Sancho had had an argument and that the Spaniard refused to return the money:
NBM: -Edwin told me that he had argued because he did not want to return the money.
FAMILIAR: -How come you didn’t want to return the money?
NBM: -The money. Edwin lent him a lot of money, almost 900,000,000 pesos.
FAMILIAR: -Oh Lord. Parents can’t know. And how did Edwin do that, for God’s sake?
NBM: -I don’t know, but I’m scared because it doesn’t appear. And that boy, all that money.
FAMILIAR: -Dear God, I’m blocked. I don’t know what to do.
This relative also had a conversation with another friend of EdwinMCA, who expresses the same fear for not having been able to contact the surgeon:
MCA: -I’m worried. I don’t know anything about Edwin. He hasn’t given a signal for many hours. I know that he went to Thailand with the Spanish friend to whom he lent money for the restaurant. Edwin told me that he had spent the money and didn’t want to give it back. I’m getting worried.
FAMILIAR: -Good morning. How come Edwin doesn’t respond? Who is that Spaniard? You know it?
MCA: -Search Edwin’s Instagram from his cell phone at home. In the last conversations with his friends, let’s see if Spanish appears.
FAMILIAR: -There, I’m going to go in and tell you later because I’m very worried. Nobody knows about him.
In this conversation, MCA encourages you to check Edwin Arrieta’s Instagram account, through which his sister Darling managed to contact Daniel Sancho. Darling would manage to exchange messages with Sancho on that social network the day after the alleged crime. “I saw him on the beach yesterday. I lost track of him. We took some hallucinogenic mushrooms,” Sancho told him during that exchange of messages, sAs Darling herself revealed this Friday on the program Friday!.
