The French influence on the table

On a day like today, French cuisine takes on a certain prominence. French gastronomy is well established in Andorra, probably due to the proximity between the two countries. Raclette, fondue, croissant, macarons and crepes, among others, are dishes or products that we can usually eat both in the restaurant and at home. And today, especially, we’re talking about crepes, since every February 2 is World Crepe Day.

This French specialty has left an unmistakable mark. Originally from the Brittany region, crepes are usually shaped like a large biscuit with a thin and light texture. Its preparation is very simple because only basic ingredients such as flour, eggs, milk and butter have to be mixed. From here and once done, everyone lets their imagination run wild. There are those who like sweet crepes filled with chocolate, jam or fruit, but there are also those who prefer them savory with sweet ham and cheese or spinach with creamed milk, among others. In any case, crepes embody the elegance and simplicity of French cuisine.
