Hence, according to reports Variety and empire, Warner Bros. prepare a new live action trilogy with a view to succeeding The War of the Rohirrim, animated film that we will see in December 2024. And not only that: it is also known who will be in charge of said films, as well as the title of the first of them.
This is what the new ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies will be like
The first film currently has the provisional title of Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum (“The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum”) and in it we will once again have Peter Jackson, Fran Wash and Philippa Boyens. The trio responsible for the trilogies The Lord of the rings and The Hobbit will be in charge of production, while another veteran of the saga will direct the film.

Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum will be released, if all goes well, in 2026.
