The fans of Mini will have in the Beijing International Auto Show 2024; from April 25 to May 4, the presentation of the new generation of models. But what is really important is that the firm celebrates the world premiere of the first Mini Aceman in history. With its concept of fully electric vehicle, the Aceman arrives to occupy the intermediate position between the Cooper and the Countryman, which in this new generation has grown considerably. And although official power figures are not known, It can be assumed that it will have 184, 204 or 218 HP, like the Cooper and the Countryman in their electric versions, and similar autonomy, perhaps somewhat less due to the weight, to this one: 305 and 402 kilometers in its S or SE variants, in the case of the Cooper.
In this way, together with the electric Cooper and the John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4, Mini presents the range of its new product portfolio at the Auto China show, which has been held in Beijing every two years since 1990.
New Mini Cooper
The new Cooper is offered both with gasoline engines, with 156 or 204 HP, and in a 100% electric variant. The latter is available as Cooper E. and, with greater features and autonomy, such as Cooper SE. Together with the octagonal front grille, the iconic round headlights define the unmistakable face of the all-electric vehicle. As in the entire new model family, the new Cooper is available in four versions (Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW Trim).
Regarding its mechanics, its 100% electric variant has 135 kW/184 hp and a 40.7 kWh battery that, in the case of the Cooper E, reaches a autonomy of 305 kilometers and it loads from 10 to 80% in just 28 minutes at 75 kW of power.
On the other hand, the variant Cooper SE dispose of 160 kW/218 hp and a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 54.2 kWh, thereby achieving a autonomy of up to 402 kilometers.
John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4
Also in Beijing will be the largest Mini. With ALL4 all-wheel drive standard and 300 hp gasoline engine (it also offers two other gasoline engines of 170 and 218 HP, a 163 diesel and the 100% electric variant of 204 HP), the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. The typical JCW color, contrasting Chili Red on the mirror caps, roof and air vent inlays, together with the brilliant Midnight Black tone, accentuate the sportiness of the model. The interior offers plenty of space, including a trunk with a volume of up to 1,450 liters when the rear bench is folded.
