Andorra la VellaAt the end of March, sufferers of multiple sclerosis published an article on the page of the organization TRANA (Associació de Tractament i Rehabilitació de les Afeccions Neuromotrius d’Andorra) about an alleged case of discrimination in the bar in the Plaça del Town of Andorra la Vella. They complained that they were not allowed access to the adapted bathrooms and one of the people involved saw her privacy violated because she was in a wheelchair and had to go to the normal bathroom needing help from others. The facts were brought to the attention of the police who said that they cannot intervene in these cases.
This Sunday they reported that the direct Board of TRANA and those affected have decided to bring to the attention of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Civil Service the facts that they consider could be qualified as a serious offense due to discrimination and unequal treatment. However, they take advantage of the new statement to thank the Andorra la Vella community for their support and the desire to find solutions so that incidents like these do not happen again.
