The “boom” of cycle tourism collapses roads in Mallorca

Their suitcase gives them away because they do not carry the usual luggage. Cycle tourists come with their bike. This weekend the “Mallorca 312” will be held, which will bring together 8,000 participants from more than 60 countries and many of them have been training on the island for weeks. They arrive attracted by the good weather and the attractiveness of the roads that cross the Tramuntana mountain range, but their presence turns this road into an impossible route. You have to be patient to do a few kilometers because those who pedal allow the season to start in March. Hotels have adapted their facilities and even the menus to cater to this tourism that allows them, too, to go smoothly.
