The flight time from Dublin to Lanzarote’s César Manrique airport comes in at roughly four hours and 15 minutes

Buses from the airport to Costa Teguise take just under an hour and will only set you back €3.

Temperatures are already reaching 27C on the popular island.

The town is a relatively new development founded in the 1980s as a tourist town with the beaches being the main attraction for holiday makers.

Playa de las Cucharas is a great location for those looking to sunbathe, cool off in the sea, or spend a beach day as a family.

There is a paved walkway running the length of the beach if you’re looking to get your steps in with a view.

For the more adventurous traveler Playa Del Jablillo offers a range of activities such as scuba diving, as well as stunning coves and crystal clear waters.

If you’re looking to do a little shopping while abroad the Costa Teguise Market is a great place to start.

Located in the Pueblo Marinero the markets offer great local crafts and souvenirs.

A night on the town in Costa Teguise won’t break the bank either with pints starting as cheap as a two euro for a pint in local bars.

The average pint of Guinness will only cost you around five euro in the stunning Lanzarote town.

Irish and UK bars tend to be more on the pricey side so if you’re looking to holiday on a budget tourists are advised to try out the local bars.

Food delights

Holiday makers are spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants in the town with places such as Restaurante El Navarro and Mar Azul Restaurante Grill serving local cuisine with glowing five star reviews on Tripadvisor.

There is something for everyone on a holiday to Costa Teguise.

One of the most popular activities is the 3-hour Buggy Tour from Costa Teguise which brings you past the old quarry of Tinamala but be quick because the tour sells out quickly.

Another popular activity is the Timanfaya & Lanzarote Volcano Experience located 40 minutes from Costa Teguise where you’ll see Timanfaya National Park as well as some of Lanzarote’s famous volcanos.
