Maciej Olszewski was on his way to work and started filming the scene.

The 49-year-old told The Sun: “I thought ‘what the f*** could this be my new camera’?

“Many times I [have] received damaged parcels.

“Someone could have stolen them just as easily.”

The packages flung out the rear doors of the badly dented van range from boxes of various sizes to softer items.

Maciej, who is a photographer originally from Poland, said he didn’t confront the driver, who had no idea he was being filmed.

He added: “This is what their internal procedures look like.”

Shockingly, the driver is still working for Evri and has been put on a “training” course, according to the firm.

Evri told The Sun they take their responsibility to “care” for every parcel “seriously”.

The firm did not explain why the delivery driver was chucking parcels into the road.

The April 18 incident is not the first time Evri drivers have been caught mishandling parcels.

Michael Lock, from Breaston, Derbyshire, was left fuming after an Evri courier knocked over a prize vase after kicking a parcel through his door.

The 74-year-old said: even though he notices what he has done, he does not try to remedy the situation but just leaves the damage.

Another incident in Birmingham in 2022 saw an Evri driver lob parcels into the back of a van without a care in the world.

Evri drivers earn between £8 and £16 an hour.

The firm employs over 26,000 couriers.

In December, it was revealed nearly half of Brits have received damaged packages in the last year- at an estimated cost of £8 billion.

A study of 2,000 adults found each have had an average of three items arrive compromised across the last 12 months, worth an average of £115 each.

Household items such as crockery, as well as clothes, food and drink, were the top items to turn up in less-than-perfect condition.

The findings covered all UK couriers.

An Evri spokesperson said: “We take our responsibility to care for every parcel seriously and the footage shown does not reflect our high standards.

“Action has been taken quickly to ensure this doesn’t happen again, including additional training.”

EVRI TIME

EVRI delivery drivers have repeatedly been called out for their handling over Brits’ post.

One courier managed to trash a smash a woman’s ornaments and spilt a difuser over her walls and carpet after he decided to force a parcel through a lounge window.

It’s not just Evri drivers out on the job causing chaos, even their warehouses are a state.
