Ric Flair versus a Pizza restaurant is probably not a rivalry many wrestling fans booked as a pay-per-view-worthy feud. That said, Flair has taken aim at a Florida-based establishment after alleging he spent $1500 only to be kicked out. Taking his beef to social media, the Gainesville restaurant responded, claiming to have video evidence hinting that Flair would look quite foolish if that footage were ever leaked.
Flair and members of his family dined at the Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant at 1250 W. University Ave. where The Nature Boy was planning to attend a University of Florida graduation ceremony. The former professional wrestler was asked to leave. He didn’t take too kindly to it.
Flair wrote:
I Spent $1500 At @PiesanosSFP To Be Disrespected More Than I Ever Have In My Entire Life. After Taking 20 Pictures With Customers And Staff, I Was Asked To Leave Because Of An Issue I Had With The Kitchen Manager Taking Too Long In The Bathroom. I Would Highly Recommend That Anyone Who Wants To Enjoy A Relaxing Time In Gainesville At A Nice Restaurant To Never Visit This Place! WOOOOO!
The restaurant, after presumably seeing the post blow up thanks to Flair’s more than 2 million followers, was forced to respond. They took the high road but seemed to make it clear that Flair isn’t telling the whole story, leaving out important information that might not make the Hall of Famer look like an innocent victim. Piesanos co-owner Jerry Roberts, was asked for comment and he noted only the “evidence was clear.” He then sent a prepared statement via text message:
“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant. It is clear, our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation using and displaying our team values.”
From the sounds of other accounts, Flair was drunk and disorderly, throwing furniture and being a menace.
Of Course, Flair Would Start A War With a Pizza Place
Never a spotlight he won’t jump into or an argument he won’t embrace, Flair has often taken to social media to call out whoever he’s currently battling with at any given moment. The Nature Boy is known for publicly sharing all of his personal issues and professional beefs with other performers and services he uses. Unfortunately for him, he’s often known for not being in the right when starts these public spats. All of this negative attention has greatly tarnished his legacy.
Just recently he claimed to have suffered a heart attack in his last wrestling match.
