A Douglas C-54 plane with two people on board crashed this Tuesday near a frozen river in Fairbanks, in the state of Alaskathe authorities reported.
The plane, which transported fuelcrashed shortly after taking off from Fairbanks International Airport and then burst into flames, according to local media.
No survivors have been found and there is an investigation underway.
“The plane slid down a steep hill on the riverbank,” the Alaska Department of Public Safety said in a statement, according to ABC.
