In heartbreaking news for Geelong fans, superstar midfielder Patrick Dangerfield was subbed out of the Cats’ clash with Carlton after suffering a hamstring injury.
Dangerfield was chasing a loose footy in the third term when he grabbed hold of the ball as he fell to the ground.
He handballed it on, but after getting up, looked extremely proppy on his leg.

Dangerfield was then helped off the ground, looking in pain, before being subbed off and replaced by Tom Atkins.
At the start of the season, Dangerfield was struck down by another hamstring injury, against Adelaide.
Dangerfield missed a handful of weeks, returning against Brisbane in round six.
The premiership star has had a history of soft-tissue injuries, including a calf issue that ruled him out for a large chunk of the 2022 season.
The club may decide to take an extra cautious approach with the 34-year-old, hoping to nurse him back to full health as the Cats look to push for a return to the finals.
Meantime, teammate Jeremy Cameron booted goal 600 in the second term, while Cam Guthrie made a positive return to the side, taking a spectacular mark 30 seconds into the first quarter.
