Pamela Anderson goes for Old Hollywood glamour at the 2024 Met Gala

Pamela Anderson’s made her long-overdue Met Gala debut Monday night.

The 56-year-old “Baywatch” beauty appeared on the 2024 red carpet, channeling Old Hollywood glamour in a beige floor-length gown by Oscar de la Renta.

The elegant design featured a ruched bodice and an asymmetrical neckline, and as the star made her way up the Met Steps, a long train followed behind her.

While Anderson has favorite makeup-free look in recent years, she opted to switch things up for Vogue’s star-studded ball, showing off natural-looking glam that included pink eyeshadow and a pink glossy lip.

Statement-making accessories made the outfit complete. Two sparkly necklaces were draped over Anderson’s shoulders, and her blond hair was styled in a loose, wavy updo, which was embellished with feathers.

The former Playboy Playmate famously quit cosmetics in 2019 after her longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, passed away following a battle with breast cancer.

“She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,” Anderson told Elle in 2023, adding that the experience has been “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too.”

In recent months, the Canadian-American bombshell has covered magazines, sat front row at Paris Fashion Week, starred in designer campaigns and walked red carpets sans glam — earning praise from fellow Hollywood stars including Jamie Lee Curtis and Scarlett Johansson in the process.

“You kind of have to challenge beauty sometimes,” Anderson told Vogue France last year. “If we all chase youth or we are all chasing our idea of what beauty is in fashion magazines then we are all going to be disappointed or maybe a little bit sad.”

Added the actress, “I think I’m happiest that I’ve ever been in my own skin. It’s what is inside the clothes that counts and I think beauty does come from within.”

Challenging societal beauty norms certainly hasn’t hurt Anderson’s career; over the past few years, she’s authored a memoir, released a Netflix documentary, made her Broadway debut and inspired an Emmy-nominated Hulu miniseries.
