After Kevin Nash quietly walked away from WWE in August 2003, he debuted for TNA over a year later at (then) 45 years old. Long past his prime, Nash nonetheless continued to wrestle for TNA for the next seven years.
Nash’s final match for the promotion was at Bound For Glory 2010, pinning Samoa Joe in a three-on-two handicap match to win the bout for his team. Shortly afterwards, Nash would leave TNA in 2011 to return to WWE.

One of the most tumultuous spells of Scott Hall’s career was definitely his numerous stints in TNA. Another wrestling legend whose best days were sadly behind him, Scott Hall worked on-and-off in TNA from 2002 to 2010.
After defending the TNA Tag Team Championship with Kevin Nash on the June 10, 2010 episode of Impact, Hall’s real-life legal issues resulted in him being released from TNA. Scott Hall would continue to battle with his demons until his tragic death in March 2022.

With TNA doing everything possible to establish themselves, various former WCW wrestlers emerged for one last day in the sun. Many were shocked and delighted to see Randy Savage arrive in TNA to confront then-NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett at Victory Road 2004.
But alas, a catalog of injuries and a 31-year career had taken their toll on the Macho Man. After winning a six-man tag-match at Turning Point, Savage quietly left TNA and then retired from the ring. Randy tragically passed away in 2011.

One of the most popular midcard acts from ECW and the Attitude Era, Al Snow would spend the later years of his career as a coach on Tough Enough and as an OVW trainer. Although Snow made his TNA debut in 2008, he transitioned to an agent in 2010.
From 2012 to 2013, Al would be a judge for the TNA Gut Check segments, and a mentor on TNA British Boot Camp. He would still wrestle sporadically, with his last match for TNA being a tag team strap match with Shera against The Tribunal on the December 8, 2016 episode of Impact. Snow was released from TNA in June 2017.

Sting was already one of the most revered legends of the sport when he signed with TNA Wrestling in 2003. At 44-years old, The Stinger could still deliver in the ring, and was determined to do everything in his power to make TNA and its roster a force to be reckoned with.

Famous for being a UFC legend and a big star from the WWE Attitude Era, Ken Shamrock arrived to a warm reception in TNA in 2002, becoming their inaugural World Champion. He would continue to compete around the world, occasionally coming back to Impact Wrestling as the years passed.
Shamrock’s later runs in TNA (under the Impact banner) would result in confrontations with the likes of Moose, Joey Ryan and Sami Calihan. Ken’s final match for TNA would be the January 26, 2021 edition of Impact in a six-man tag team match.

One of the most outspoken and controversial wrestlers of all time, Scott Steiner joined TNA in March 2006. Following his disastrous WWE run, Big Poppa Pump enjoyed something of a career renaissance in TNA.
Steiner’s final match for the promotion was at the 2019 Unbreakable event. Months later at Impact TV Tapings, Scott collapsed backstage and had to be resuscitated by paramedics. He continues to wrestle on an occasional basis.

Bob Backlund has a habit of appearing when fans least expect it. One of his most bizarre surprise appearances was in TNA in 2007.
Wrestling for the first time since 2001, Backlund was in remarkable shape for his age, defeating Alex Shelley at Slammiversary 2007, and then losing with Jerry Lynn to The Motor City Machine Guns at Victory Road. After leaving TNA, Backlund continued to wrestle on a selected basis until retiring in 2018.

Perhaps the single-biggest name in all wrestling, Hulk Hogan again shocked the world by joining TNA in 2009. Mostly an authority figure during his time with the promotion, The Hulkster would still get in the ring to compete.
