Redditor iKobejack originally posed the question on the social media platform.

“What is the most irritating dog breed to own?” he asked.

Several Redditors responded to the original question, with one having some strong opinions.

They dished the details on the dog breed that they regret ever owning.

TOO SMART FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

One Redditor pointed out a canine that was just way too smart to handle.

“Belgian Malinois,” user Dismal-Channel-9292 replied.

“Mine has an entertaining personality and I love her. She’s the smartest dog I’ve met, which seems great in theory, until you realize she’s capable of outsmarting you. It’s not fun.

“So far, she has figured out how to- unlock and open multiple types of doors, press elevator buttons, pimp slap dogs and humans when they won’t give her something she wants.

“She vocally argues and sasses us, has robbed a drug dealer, figured out how to open the garbage without making a sound, and has mastered covering up malicious activity.”

The Belgian Malinois owner even said the do could plan elaborate “heists.”

Dismal-Channel-9292 didn’t stop there, they added that they believe the dog could even understand certain languages.

“We’re fairly certain she understands English based on her reactions to a few things we’ve said. And she’s only one-year-old.

“I thought my last dog was a Belgian so I wanted another because she was the best dog ever.

“Her DNA sample came back a month after I adopted the new pup. My previous dog was actually a German Shepard and now I have this Malingator hell-spawn wrecking havoc on my house.”

“Malinois are amazing dogs, but definitely not for the faint of heart.”

DOG-OWNER REACTION

Several animal lovers chimed in to share their thoughts on the Belgian Malinois woes.

“I think this is probably the most accurate description of a Malinois I have ever seen,” one wrote.

“I have an Invisible Fence,” another added.

“The install guy said they had to change their training methods because of smart dogs that would deliberately stand in the audible tone warning zone to wear the batteries down on the collar.”
