Mitchell Robinson ruled out for Game 2 in Knicks injury blow

Mitchell Robinson’s troublesome ankle will keep him out of a game for the second time in this year’s playoffs.

The Knicks have ruled out Robinson for Wednesday’s Game 2 against the Pacers due to injury management on the left ankle that required surgery in December and sidelined him for more than three months before a late-March return.

The 7-foot center also sat out Game 4 of the first round against the 76ers with what the team termed a sprain of the ankle.

Robinson, who had two points and two rebounds in 11 minutes off the bench in the series opener, likely will be replaced by Precious Achiuwa in the rotation.

Third-year center Jericho Sims also is available, but he hasn’t played in any of the Knicks’ first seven postseason games.
