Majoral considers that Democrats have turned towards a trend “more to the left”

Andorra la VellaThe councilor of Unió Laurediana and ex-consul major Josep Majoral considers that the policies of the Democrats are taking the party to a tendency more “to the left than to the right”. In an interview that has offered this Wednesday to Today will be a good dayhas ruled that “today it cannot be defined as a centre-right, but a centre-left”.

Majoral adds that this does not come solely from recent housing policies, but that this center-right electorate has been abandoned for some time. Remember that the party was founded as a coalition of this ideology to oust the then head of government Bartumeu, an experiment that worked. However, he considers that little by little it has been veering towards a more central ideology or, even, a little tilted to the left.

The ex-consul reflects that there are two ways to deal with the housing problem, and that is by protecting the tenant or the owner, and that the Government has chosen the first way. The expectation of a right-wing or center-right space would be to strengthen the position of the owners and provide them with more tools and incentives to put their flat on the rental market.
