Runners then head weat all the way past the Tower of London, Monument, Cannon Street, Blackfriars, the Embankment and looping south with the Thames to Westminster Bridge.

They then turn west and travel along Birdcage Walk before heading past Buckingham Palace and to the finish line on The Mall.

Who won the 2023 London Marathon?

The men’s race was won by Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum in 2023, with Brit Sir Mo Farah running his final London marathon and finishing in ninth.
