Kobe Bryant’s memory is very much alive in Los Angeles

Huge, overwhelming, chaotic, luxurious, dirty, smelling of food and marijuana, with freeways and dingy corners, a melting pot of very diverse people, multimillionaire and poor, friendly and dangerous, Los Angeles is not just what you see in the movies.

The car is as necessary as oxygen and the Hollywood sign is barely visible. The beaches are famous, but they are far away. People don’t get out of cars and dance in traffic jams. They bang on the steering wheel.

In one of the most famous cities in the world, NBA legend Kobe Bryant‘s memory is still alive. As long as he is remembered, he’s not really gone.

Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna passed away after a helicopter accident that took place in in Calabasas, California, three years ago.

Worldwide tributes to Kobe Bryant

According to the website Kobemurals.com, there are 630 murals around the world that pay tribute to the NBA legend.

There are 455 in the United States and 177 in the rest of the world across 45 different countries. His loss is still being mourned.

Impossible not to see Kobe Bryant in LA

In Los Angeles, the home of the Lakers, the Clippers, the Dodgers, the Rams and the Chargers, it is impossible not to see Kobe wherever you walk.

Jonas Never, who became famous for a ‘Game of Thrones’ mural, did one for Kobe back in 2016.

“I just tried to find the perfect picture because I didn’t want to rush it. It’s a pilgrimage site,” he noted.

Using Kobe‘s picture from when he won his fifth ring in 2010, Never came up with a wonderful mural, on which thousands of fans around the world have wrote dedications.
