2024 is seeing a lot of major WWE contracts coming to an end. The past few weeks have already seen the likes of Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre re-signing with the company. There is also another name whose contract is coming up relatively soon, in Kevin Owens. KO has been on a great run in WWE the past few years. Two WrestleManias in a row, he was in the night one main event, first with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, then with his best friend Sami Zayn in a match against the Usos at WrestleMania 39. Currently, he is teaming with Randy Orton, with the duo just coming off of a match against the new Bloodline at Backlash in France. But with Kevin Owens turning 40 years old tomorrow, on May 7, just how much longer can he keep going?
In an interview with Metro, Owens revealed when his WWE contract ends and his mindset going forward. He said:
“I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contact, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out. That’s just life. If I’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s that nothing is guaranteed. I’ve learned that through some very unfortunate events, we’ve lost so many good people that was never expected. That’s just one example of how I do not take anything for granted, how I look at things now.”
The wrestling world has seen several tragedies over the past few years, with the losses of Brodie Lee, Jay Briscoe, and Bray Wyatt, which weigh on the mind of Kevin Owens for understandable reasons.

Will Kevin Owens Leave WWE To Wrestle Somewhere Else?
With Kevin Owens’ WWE contract coming to an end, is he considering leaving the promotion he’s called home since 2014? Owens is friends with many of the talent in AEW after all and would be a huge get for Tony Khan. KO added:
“This has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with, and I really can’t imagine not seeing them as part of my life. It’s good to have somebody to bounce around, somebody you trust. When I got here, I got really close with Finn Balor right away, and I could tell this is gonna be a guy I could trust, and now he’s like a brother to me. We might not be together all the time, me and Sami are on different brands so we don’t see each other as much. We’re always in contact and when it comes along, we have a sounding board.”
Kevin Owens isn’t leaving WWE, that’s a given, but from the way he talks, he seems to know that he’s in the final years of his career. Don’t be surprised if his next WWE contract is his last.
