KATIE Price has defended skipping her bankruptcy court date and fleeing the UK on a sun-soaked holiday – despite the threat of being jailed for her actions.
The mum of five, 45, spoke candidly about swerving the legal appointment at London’s High Court last week, which came after she was declared bankrupt for a second time back in March.

Instead, The Sun exclusively reported how Katie is holed up in a £760-a-night hotel in Ayia Napa with her MAFS star boyfriend JJ Slater, 31.
In her latest The Katie Price Show podcast episode, tellingly entitled Setting The Record Straight, she even confirmed she would not be heading to the rearranged date.
She told co-host and sister Sophie Price – who revealed she is pregnant with her second baby – she was taking her financial situation “seriously.”
Katie, who was declared bankrupt for the second time courtesy of a unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000, said: “When I say I am not mentally able and stable to go into court at the moment, because I have a lot of things behind the scenes I am dealing with.
“Hence I haven’t been on TikTok for months.
“I am only doing what my body and brain can let me do at the moment.”
She then insisted: “I am taking the bankruptcy seriously.
“It’s not like I have jetted off on a b****y five star holiday.”
She then added how her friend had travelled to the same hotel a week before and asked if staff would “look after” her.
Continuing her explanation she added: “Then when I came here they upgraded me for nothing, that was it.
“This holiday was actually a really cheap holiday.”
She finished the segment by explaining how she had been “going in the gym and looking after myself and my head.”
Katie and JJ have indeed been seen training in the hotel gym together, with the star capturing their workout on Instagram.

In the same podcast, Katie told how she would be getting “legally signed off” so she will not appear at the rearranged court date.

Now she has given advance warning of her next absence and bluntly told the podcast: “I won’t be going to my court hearing – I had an hour’s conversation with my trustees
“They’ve given a list of things I have to do to discharge me and suspend me – it has to be signed off by a lawyer.
“My consultants have to sign me off legally because mentally I can’t cope with it.”
It came after it was reported there would be a warrant for Katie’s arrest should she not attend.
After her Friday no-show, ex-husband Alex Reid, who she owes £250,000, said: “People will be asking, ‘How does she get away with it?’”
Brass tacks
Katie was declared bankrupt for a second time over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05.
She was previously declared bankrupt in November 2019, with debts of £3.2million.
The I’m A Celeb star was ordered to cough up 40 per cent of her OnlyFans income for the next three years as part of a separate dispute.
The TV star now faces losing her £2million Sussex pad, dubbed her Mucky Mansion, or face the wrath of bailiffs.
Jolly holiday
Katie has been busy distracting herself on holiday, modelling clothes from her fashion range.
She has also opted for matching tatts with her man, with The Sun exclusively revealing the designs.
A source who spotted the lovebirds at their lavish resort was first to tell us: “I saw them checking in on Friday evening.
“We saw them later in the bar as they were sitting near us. They were having food and drinks and seemed incredibly relaxed.
