Jose Ramirez vs Rances Barthelemy Official Purses Including Vergil Ortiz, Oscar Duarte And Jojo Diaz Revealed

Highlights

  • Vergil Ortiz Jr. earned $800,000 for a swift victory, showcasing his dominance in the ring.
  • Jose Ramirez emerged as the highest earner of the night with an impressive $1,100,000 payout.
  • Significant earnings disparities among fighters at the event shed light on financial aspects of boxing.

In the Golden Boy Promotions event held in Fresno, California, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has unveiled the official contract purses for the Ramirez vs. Barthelemy fight card, revealing payouts and shockingly low purses for some of the fighters.

The undercard showcased a series of remarkable bouts, with Vergil Ortiz Jr. stealing the spotlight by delivering a thunderous left to the body, swiftly ending his clash with Thomas Dulorme in the first round. This impressive victory sets up Ortiz for a future showdown with Tim Tszyu later this year.

Meanwhile, Oscar Duarte showcased his dominance in the ring by inflicting a relentless beating upon Joseph Diaz Jr., becoming the first to halt Diaz’s momentum and force the referee’s intervention in the ninth round. Duarte’s remarkable performance is a rebound from his previous loss to Ryan Garcia, solidifying his position as a force to be reckoned with in boxing.

Jose Carlos Ramirez weathered an initial onslaught, overcoming an early scare when Barthelemy managed to stagger the former unified champion in the opening stages of the bout. However, Ramirez showcased his resilience and skill, seizing control of the later rounds and ultimately securing victory through a unanimous decision.
