José Manuel Soto speaks out about Pedro Sánchez’s surprise letter announcing his possible resignation: “He puts on a scene”

The surprise letter published by Pedro Sánchez on this Wednesday afternoon, where he announced to the citizens his possible resignation after the investigation of his wife, Begoña Gómez, due to a complaint of influence peddling and corruption, has quickly gone viral on social networks.

“I am aware that they are denouncing Begoña just for being my wife, because they know there is no case”, “I will continue working, but I will cancel my public agenda for a few days to be able to reflect and decide which path to take” and “The right and the extreme right “they did not accept the electoral result” are some most notable phrases of the statementwhich has been commented on both by Spanish citizens—to whom this letter is addressed—and by politicians and public figures on the national scene.

Jose Manuel Soto has been one of the well-known faces who has expressed his opinion on the matter on his personal X account, formerly Twitter. Precisely, the Spanish singer-songwriter is known on this social network for showing his reactions to current affairs—just as he has done recently in reference to the Basque election results—, and this was not going to be one less.

“Instead of coming forward and publicly explaining the shenanigans of his wife and his ministers, puts on a stunt to pretend to be a victim and further stress society“, commented the Sevillian musician. “‘The extreme right is coming for me’ and so on, they have no shame…”, Soto said about Pedro Sánchez’s letter.

The publication already has more than 2,000 visits and reactions of all kinds, since there are users who support the artist’s words, but others who do not share them.
