“It’s not the first time”

Eight doctors from the Virgen de la Victoria Hospital in Malaga have suffered a food poisoning last Monday, May 6, after eating the dinner offered by the hospital, as warned by the Medical Union (SMM) of the Andalusian province.

From the health center they have confirmed that They are “several cases” with symptoms and that, as is usual in these situations, the center has taken samples to determine what the causes may be.

The SMM in a statement explained that according to the first investigations, the cause of the poisoning “is found in the poor quality of food supplied by the external catering company contracted by the hospital”.

The SMM has pointed out that, “despite the numerous complaints and negative surveys, the hospital management has not taken measures in this regard, keeping the same company in charge of catering. “There has also been no response from the management, economic/administrative and central services of the hospital to the multiple complaints that this union has made in recent years.”
