When it comes to things to know about Indi Hartwell, she has done a few interviews over the years which explore more of her background prior to joining the professional wrestling business, such as her heroes growing up in wrestling, her ring name origins, and more. These little tidbits of information uncovered in interviews will be looked at here.

Indi Hartwell’s Heroes Include Trish Stratus

Indi Hartwell got into wrestling thanks to her brother watching it, and she never ended up growing out of the “phase” of being a wrestling fan. She was captured by the larger than life wrestlers, one of those being Trish Stratus (and another being Victoria too).

Ring names of wrestlers can come in many different forms of inspiration, or sometimes they can just be random ideas by those in WWE, as the company often just puts names on wrestlers that they might not even want. Hartwell was asked about the origins of her name when she spoke in an interview with David Falcon.

“I read somewhere that Australian rapper Iggy Azalea found her name by combining her dog’s name with her street name and ages ago my friend and I did that. The name for me didn’t really suit but my friend’s one had a nice ring to it – Indi Hartwell. Her name was saved as that on my phone for about two years so when I was thinking of wrestling names, it finally came in handy.”

“That was it. I always loved pro wrestling growing up. But that moment it turned from a dream into a passion and at age 19, I knew that nothing was going to stop me from doing it, and I signed up for wrestling school the next day. It’s really cool now that five-six years later I have the chance to very soon – hopefully – work with those two. I’m walking in their footsteps now and hopefully, I’ll walk alongside them in the future.” (H/T WrestlingHeadlines)
