According to Shira, a beauty whizz known online as ‘Simply Shira’, your thick, black eyeliner and blusher placement could be making you look much older.

Not only this, but she also shared that your contour and lipstick could be making a huge difference too.

Sharing her advice on social media, Shira revealed the “make-up mistakes that are ageing you.”

The brunette beauty shared her clip with the caption ‘Make-up mistakes that are ageing you. This ones for my millennial girlies, simple changes can make all the difference.’

She then claimed that running a dark brown eyeshadow directly into the crease of your eye is one way that is adding years onto your appearance.

Instead of this, Shira advised: “Run a medium, brown shadow, on a fluffy brush, slightly above the crease of your eye.”

By doing so, she claimed that your eyes will look “double the size.”

Not only this, but if you’re still doing a thick, black, liquid liner, prepare to be attacked.

Instead of this, Shira suggested: “It’s time to try a smoked out brown liner.”

Not only this, but if you apply your blusher low on your face and don’t blend it out, you’ll need to take notes.

Shira recommended: “Instead, apply your blush a little higher up on the apple of your cheek and make sure to give it a good blend.”

Instead of applying contour to the hollow of your face, Shira said: “Instead, use it to give your face an instant lift. “

Finally, if you use lipstick that’s pale and drying, Shira shared: “Instead, use something vibrant and hydrating.”

BIG DIVIDE

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @simply.shira, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, the video had quickly amassed a jaw-dropping 702,100 views.

But social media users were divided by the clip – whilst the majority were thankful for the advice and were keen to express this in the comments, others claimed that they wouldn’t be ditching their black eyeliner.
