Fan Translation Reveals What Ludwig Kaiser Said To Giovanni Vinci On Raw

Highlights

  • Ludwig Kaiser turned on Giovanni Vinci on Raw, snapping after the pair suffered a defeat to The New Day.
  • While attacking Vinci, Kaiser was yelling things in German, and a German-speaking fan has translated what he said.
  • Kaiser was asking if Vinci knew how much of his life he’s sacrificed for him and that he warned him he’d get it done, among other things.

It’s felt like there has been change coming for Imperium for months, even before the group’s foundations were shaken by Gunther losing the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. That change came on Raw this week after Ludwig Kaiser snapped and turned on his stablemate, Giovanni Vinci. The brutal beatdown was triggered by the pair suffering defeat to The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, but exactly what Kaiser was yelling throughout the segment was unclear since he was speaking German.

What Ludwig Kaiser Said To Giovanni Vinci

Pat McAfee exclaimed during the beating that he needed a German translator, and a German-speaking fan has stepped up in the replies to the YouTube video of the post-match fight above. According to AgeofJP, Kaiser repeatedly yells “Wie Lange?” which, when translated into English, means “How long?”. What Kaiser says a little later adds meaning to those words being repeated over and over as the German Superstar questions how much of his life he has given to Vinci.

This week’s Raw featured a Battle Royal to determine the new Women’s World Champion.

“All those years, me for you” is apparently an exact translation of what Kaiser says a little more than a minute into the video, and a little while after that, although it’s not clear, it sounds like he’s saying “How many years have I been here for you?”. Kaiser can also be heard saying “Ha!” quite a few times during the beatdown which can mean a few things in German. Sometimes it means “What?” but in this instance, due to the situation and the tone used, it likely means either “Tell me” or “Think about it”.

Imperium As We Know It Is Over

Kaiser ends by saying “I sagte dir, Ich erledige es” which in English means “I told you, I get it done”. Perhaps an implication that Kaiser warned Vinci this was coming if things didn’t change, but the now-former Imperium member was unaware his days were numbered. Kaiser was shown with Gunther after the match, the former IC Champion looking at his tag team partner with a smile on his face. Perhaps unconvinced the German could ascend to the same level as him, but the way he turned on Vinci has confirmed he’s got what it takes.

It’s a shame that Gunther isn’t still Intercontinental Champion as before he lost the title, my pick when it came to who should beat him was Kaiser. Keep the title on him until Bash At Berlin and then have the hometown hero end the historic run in front of his hometown fans. This turn on Vinci would have further confirmed to me that was the plan if Gunther was still champion. Either way, I’m glad to see Kaiser getting a bigger spotlight, although I’m unsure what that means for Vinci’s future.
