WWE continues its annual roster management post-WrestleMania, this time releasing some stars from NXT.

WWE continues its annual spring-cleaning following WrestleMania season. The company has already released plenty of wrestlers from the main roster, including Cameron Grimes and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.

NXT wasn’t safe from cuts, as some veterans and multiple young guns were also recently let go. According to reports from Fightful & PWInsider, the following NXT roster members were released from their contracts:

  • Drew Gulak
  • Boa
  • Valentina Feroz
  • Trey Bearhill (Tiller Bucktrot)
  • Keyshawn Leflore
  • Julian Baldi
  • Emma Diaz
  • Kiyah Saint
  • Ezekiel Balogun
  • Vlad Pavlenko
  • Darrell Mason (Deebo)


Drew Gulak Had Been Taken Off NXT TV Following Ronda Rousey Claims

The most notable name from the NXT cuts is Drew Gulak, who was enjoying some new-found success on the yellow brand as part of The No Quarter Catch Crew alongside Charlie Dempsey (William Regal’s son), Damon Kemp and Myles Borne.

Rousey claims Gulak grabbed the drawstring on her pants as he passed her backstage.

He was recently taken off television over some comments made by Ronda Rousey. The former WWE Women’s Champion and UFC legend spoke against Gulak, claiming he was once inappropriate towards her, having touched the drawstring of her fitness apparel. Gulak immediately went on social media to offer an explanation, and re-iterated how he’d apologized for the situation.

In a post-McMahon WWE, there is zero tolerance for these types of incidents, and Gulak was ultimately axed.

McMahon didn’t even entertain the idea of dropping the word women’s from WWE’s title names.

In addition to these releases, Gold-medal winning Olympian Gable Steveson was also let go. While he was highly touted and penciled in for big things, Steveson was never able to adapt to the world of professional wrestling.
